Maracas Beach





Maracas Bay is one of Trinidad’s most popular beaches and is never empty. Its beautiful off-white sand, palm trees and blue-green waters attract local and foreign beach lovers at any given time or day. Maracas beach is located approximately 10 miles or a 40 minute drive from Port of Spain, the country’s capital. The tumbling waves, with an average height of 3 feet, makes it an ideal place for surfing. The expanse of beach shore is enough to accommodate sunbathes or can be used for various sporting activities such a friendly game of football or cricket. Apart from its picturesque site, Maracas Bay is notoriously known for its food or more so for its famous mouth-watering bake and shark which visitors travel for miles to get a taste of. Maracas beach is equipped with washroom and changing facilities as well as lifeguards to ensure the safety of all bathers. is fun for the entire family and is definitely worth the drive.
