Speyside Tobago

Speyside is a little village located in northern Tobago that lies on the leeward coast, across from the island of Little Tobago . The area is famous for its main activities which include fishing, agriculture, bird-watching, snorkeling and scuba diving. From Speyside, some of the island’s best coral reefs can be seen and as such it is a popular diving site for locals and tourists. The reefs are less disturbed than the more famous Buccoo Reef in southwestern Tobago. It is an incredible site and definitely worth the visit.

Carnival

Trinidad and Tobago Carnival is by far the country’s most anticipated event. It occurs annually and the events are held on two days, Carnival Monday and Carnival Tuesday.   The event is well known for participants' colorful costumes and exuberant celebrations but it represents something much bigger and that is its historical and cultural significance.   A number of events occur around Carnival time such as "band launch fetes", Soca, Calypso and Chutney competitions as well as Demarche Gras all of which lead up to the parade of the Bands on Carnival Monday and Tuesday. Carnival celebrations in Trinidad is not only celebrated by locals but also by a number of foreigners who anticipate the event each year. Whether you decide to participate or just watch the celebrations, Carnival is a spectacular event that is like no other.

Store Bay

Located in close proximity to the Tobago airport, store bay is a popular local and tourist attraction due to its spectacular beach with clear blue sea and white sand. There is little shade shaded areas however visitors who do not prefer sun bathing can enjoy asking in the ambiance while reclining on beach chairs under shaded umbrella. The beach is great for swimming, snorkelling and water activities. Story Bay is the location to board one of the many glass bottom boats which offer tourists and locals trips to Buccoo Reef and Nylon Pools . Around the beach, there are numerous food huts so visitors can part take in mouth-watering dishes particularly Tobago’s famous Crab and Dumpling. Souvenir shops are also located on site. The area is equipped with adequate washroom facilities and safe and secured parking. Store Bay is a great area for a relaxing day at the beach and is definitely worth the visit.

Bucco Reef

Located off the southwestern coast of Tobago, the Bucco Reef consists of five reef flats surrounding Bon Accord Lagoon. Buccoo is one of Tobago’s most popular locations and is noted for its submarine gardens. Visitors can enjoy the view from glass bottom boats while taking in an education tour. Adventure seeks can go snorkeling while passing over Bucco reef and it is truly an exhilarating experience as a wide variety of beautiful, colorful fish can be seen. It is a great experience and is highly recommended to try at least one in your life time.

Pigeon Point

Pigeon Point also known as Pigeon Point Heritage Park is without a doubt Tobago’s most beautiful beach. The beach’s aquamarine water and long stretch of white sand make it a remarkable site for locals and tourists. The resort is equipped with top of the line beach facilities as well as bars and a restaurant. A souvenir shops and water activities are strategically located along the beach to ensure visitors make the most of the trip. Though there is a small entrance fee, it is most definitely worth it as it is almost certain that you will enjoy a fun filled day at the beach, creating unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. Pigeon point is great for both recreation or relaxation and as such is easily enjoyed by everyone.

Little Tobago

Located off the northeastern coast of Tobago, Little Tobago also known as Bird of Paradise Island is truly a paradise. The island is home to a variety of flora and fauna and is an important breeding site for seabirds . Here a variety of birds can be seen and it is truly a bird watcher’s dream. The sea between Tobago and Little Tobago is shallow, and the island can be easily accessed via boat. The island is a popular area for snorkeling and diving, especially on Angel Reef in front of Goat Island. It is a fun getaway when visiting Tobago and an is scenic beauty make it an unforgettable experience.

Maracas Beach

Maracas Bay is one of Trinidad’s most popular beaches and is never empty. Its beautiful off-white sand, palm trees and blue-green waters attract local and foreign beach lovers at any given time or day. Maracas beach is located approximately 10 miles or a 40 minute drive from Port of Spain, the country’s capital. The tumbling waves, with an average height of 3 feet, makes it an ideal place for surfing. The expanse of beach shore is enough to accommodate sunbathes or can be used for various sporting activities such a friendly game of football or cricket. Apart from its picturesque site, Maracas Bay is notoriously known for its food or more so for its famous mouth-watering bake and shark which visitors travel for miles to get a taste of.
